Dr. Ansar Kunjunju completed his early medical career in India before undertaking advanced paediatric and neonatal training in Australia. He has trained and worked at leading institutions including Perth Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, the Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS), and the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick. In addition to his clinical expertise, he is actively involved in research and evidence-based medicine, serving as the principal investigator at Wollongong Hospital for the SurfSUP and Aeroplane clinical trials.
Dr. Ansar Kunjunju is a Paediatrician and Neonatologist, with over 20 years of experience caring for children and newborns.
After spending 7 years working in India, he moved to Australia, where he trained and worked at Perth Children’s Hospital, Monash Children’s Hospital, NETS and the Royal Hospital for Women in Randwick.
His wide-ranging experience allows him to support children at every stage, from newborns needing specialised care to older children with general health concerns.
He has a special interest in preterm and neonatal neurodevelopment and long-term follow-up, ensuring children reach their best potential as they grow.
Dr. Ansar runs both neonatal and general paediatric clinics.
He is passionate about research and evidence-based medicine, principal investigator at Wollongong Hospital for SurfSup and Aeroplane trial.
