Dr. Ashwani Garg
Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr. Ashwani Kumar Garg is a highly accomplished consultant psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric conditions.
Dr Garg has worked as a consultant psychiatrist in several public mental health services across Australia and in private practice. He has previously served as the acting director of the Mood Academic Unit at Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services, as well as the director of a private mental health clinic. He has extensive experience in assessing and treating adult psychiatric patients.
Dr Garg has conducted more than 1,000 independent medical examinations (IMEs) in various fields, including motor vehicle accidents (MVA), total and permanent disability (TPD), workplace bullying, fitness for duty, and assessments of permanent impairment.
In 2020, he received his MCIME qualification and later became a Fellow of ABIME in 2022. Additionally, he has served on medical advisory panels for Q Super.
