Dr. Shammi Rajapakse
Consultant Psychiatrist
With over a decade of experience in the Australian healthcare system, Dr. Rajapakse has worked in both public and private sectors, specializing in acute adult services, drug and alcohol services, geriatric psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and custodial mental health services. He has a particular research interest in neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, as well as the impact of medical and mental health disorders on sleep patterns and the neurobiological effects of stimulant medications and illicit substances.

Dr. Shammi Rajapakse, FRANZCP, is a highly skilled and experienced consultant psychiatrist with a strong academic background. He obtained his foundational medical degree and a Master of Science in Public Health in Sri Lanka before completing his fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) in 2023.
Currently working as a consultant psychiatrist in the public sector, Dr. Rajapakse also serves as a supervisor for psychiatry trainees and a site coordinator for RANZCP trainees within the local health district, contributing significantly to the professional development of future psychiatrists.Dr. Shammi Rajapakse, FRANZCP, is a highly skilled and experienced consultant psychiatrist with a strong academic background.
