The referral can be sent to the eMed Specialist Pty Ltd. followed by contacting the provider’s office directly or through our website to book a virtual consultation.

Most telehealth specialists appointments are eligible for Medicare rebates. The rebate amount can vary between specialties and appointment types. If you are unsure, our team can help explain the likely fees and rebate options before you book.

eMed Specialist Pty Ltd. is a privately billing practice. Bulk billing is not available and out-of-pocket costs apply. Individual medical specialists consulting through eMed Specialist’s platform are free to set their own fees; therefore, exact costs may vary depending on practitioner and appointment type. 

Yes, Specialists conducting Telehealth consultations in Australia can provide prescriptions, referrals for further tests or consultations, and medical advice as needed. Prescriptions can be sent electronically to the patient’s phone as text or their preferred pharmacy for convenient access medications.

To prepare for your appointment, make sure your have your Medicare card, a list of symptoms, medications, and medical history ready to discuss with the Specialist. Patients should also ensure they have a secure and stable internet connection for the virtual appointment.

eMed Specialist does not offer discounts for concession, pension or DVA card holders. We kindly ask that patients refrain from asking for fee adjustments or discounts with the admin staff, as they cannot make changes to the fee determined by the individual specialist.

eMed Specialist Pty Ltd. does not provide any reports. Any report required should be discussed with the treating specialist. Generally, reports required for Work Cover, DVA, Work Capacity, NDIS, etc. can be provided for a fee. The fee should be discussed before requesting such a report.
