Prescription Policy
The prescriptions are provided as eScripts primarily as a SMS or by email.
Generally, we do not provide any scripts in between appointments. However, in certain circumstances, if a script has to be issued in between appointments, it will cost $100.
Please take due care of scripts for stimulant medications as requests with lost/stolen medication will be considered on case to case basis.
Your GP is provided with an assessment outcome and management plan. Most of the medications can be prescribed by them.
There can be some delay in providing eScripts after the consultation. Keep patience.
Doctors regularly check for any case of ‘doctor shopping’ or getting similar scripts from other sources. If found to be fraudulent, we reserve the right to hold/cancel the script.
Medicare details are required to process eScripts.
Some medications are prescribed beyond PBS approvals. Such eScripts will be private and do not get Medicare concessions due to their ‘off-label use’.
Seek clarity about medication, mode and time of administration, side effect profile, and any other queries you may have with your doctor during the consultation. Admin staff cannot help with the same and doctors are generally not available for resolving routine queries in between the appointments.
Since we are a Telehealth service, we do not have provision for emergency interventions. If you experience any side effect that raises concerns, please contact your GP or visit local emergency for needed help.
The stimulants cannot be prescribed beyond 6 months as per the legislation.
