Smita has over 15 years of experience working as clinical Psychologist in India and USA, she also has 2 years of experience in Australia as provisional psychologist. Additionally, she is a registered counsellor with Victim Services NSW,Australia.

Smita is a registered Provisional Psychologist with AHPRA and an associated member of the APS. Smita holds an M.Phil. (Master of Philosophy) degree in Medical and Social Psychology, a master’s degree in applied and clinical psychology and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Education. She also obtained a year of training in epidemiology and genetics from the University of Pittsburgh, USA. She has also completed a counselling children course from ACS Australia.She has a rich working experience with different Childhood Disorders (mainly ADHD and Behavioural Disorders). She is extensively trained and experienced in psychological testing, including IQ assessment, Personality assessment and Neurological and Cognitive assessment.
She is a pioneer in providing Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), family therapy, couples therapy, group therapy, supportive psychotherapy, mindfulness, behaviour Therapy, including systematic desensitization, exposer and response prevention, and self-monitoring and reinforcement techniques, which are mainly used in treating childhood disorders. Her expertise in providing relaxation therapy is commendable and is quite effective in treating anxiety and stress-related disorder.She listens to her clients non-judgmentally and offers valuable advice and guidance accordingly. Her demeanor is calm, and she exudes the utmost professionalism.She has had an elaborate set of clients ranging from Children, Adolescents and Adults, whom she has tackled for various psychiatric disorders
