Dr. Shammi Rajapakse, FRANZCP, is a highly skilled and experienced consultant psychiatrist with a strong academic background. He obtained his foundational medical degree and a Master of Science in Public Health in Sri Lanka before completing his fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) in 2023.

Currently working as a consultant psychiatrist in the public sector, Dr. Rajapakse also serves as a supervisor for psychiatry trainees and a site coordinator for RANZCP trainees within the local health district, contributing significantly to the professional development of future psychiatrists.

Outside of his professional work, Dr. Rajapakse enjoys exploring the Australian Outback through overlanding. His personal experiences with the aftermath of the Tsunami in Sri Lanka and the effects of civil war have inspired his dedication to mental health and his support of organisations globally that focus on trauma-related issues.
